Scott began training in 1993. He trained under Sifu Anthony and Sifu Chris for 2 years before meeting Sifu Li Kueng, current master of the
style in the US, in 1995. During 1998 & 1999 he received extensive training from Sifu Li. Scott is a very humble person and values the old traditional ways of training as his instructors did before
him. Scott is also an accomplished musician which contributed to his dedication and devotion to Kung Fu. Scott received his black sash ranking and was given permission to open school and teach in Rock
Hill in 1999. Scott received the rank of Sifu at a ceremony in Charlotte called the Bai Si. It was a memorable event for all who attended. Rock Hill Kung Fu School opened in 2000. Scott still remains
affiliated with Mint Hill Kung Fu School his home school. In October of 2002, Scott decided to change the name of RHKFS to Kong Hoi Kung Fu Association - Rock Hill (as did the other branches) in honor of
the Lai Tong Pai (Poon Kuen) Grandmaster now living in Hong Kong. Scott is also an active inaugural member of CACMA.
